The session will discuss the impact of funding cuts on civil society, advocacy efforts, and sustainable development. The speakers can be found hereunder:
Elina Turalyeva (Teens Kyrgyzstan) – Discusses the human cost of funding cuts on sexual and reproductive health, mental health, gender equality, and rights in Central Asia.
Guillermo Ricalde (ILGA World) – Examines the impact of funding cuts on gender and LGBTI movements and organizations.
Alexey Lakhov (HIV Prevention Consultant, EECA region) – Highlights the consequences of shifting donor priorities for health projects, especially HIV initiatives.
Dr. Ramazan Tunc (New Life Association) – Addresses how restricted funding affects civic space, advocacy efforts, and spillover effects on other regions.
Wolfgang Obenland (Forum Umwelt & Entwicklung) – Discusses global adaptations to the changing financial landscape for sustainable development.
